All users of Valley Connections are subject to the following Terms of Use, which may be modified from time to time at the discretion of the CVCA Board. Any violation of the Terms of Use will result in the user’s termination to post items on the Valley Connections message board.

We are committed to keeping your personal information private. Valley Connections will not sell, distribute, or share any personal information you provide. Any personal information we possess will be used for the sole purpose of administering the relationship between yourself the CVCA Board and Valley Connections administrators.

User Submissions
Any information, data, text, photos or content submitted for posting on this website will be considered non-confidential and non-proprietary and you warrant and represent that your submitted item is your own original work, that you alone own copyright, that it is an authentic and accurate depiction of the subject matter presented and that no other party has any right, title, claim or interest. Valley Connections will have no obligations with respect to such submissions. Valley Connections and its designees will be free to copy, disclose, distribute, reproduce, incorporate, and otherwise use your submission.
Community Communications via EMAIL
Only the CVCA Board and Committee chairs are allowed to send emails to the entire community under their designated banner, using Valley Connections. Discretion should be used to ensure that owners are not inundated with superfluous emails.
Additional Approved Organizations
The Board can authorize community wide email access and extended visibility within the website to approved organizations or resident related program solicitations (charitable or not for profit), based upon their compliance with designated terms of use.
Currently these groups / programs include :

· Glassy Mountain Fire Foundation
· Cliffs Valley Kids Camp
· Food Pantry – North Greenville Ministry
· Cliffs Valley Kris Kringle
· Cliffs Valley Employee Holiday Fund
Organizational Approval Criteria
From time to time, new charities might be brought to the Board to be included as an approved organization for inclusion on the website. Each charity will be reviewed and vetted by the Board and their approval is at the Board’s sole discretion.
At a minimum, to be considered each organization must comply with the minimum qualifications:
· The charity must be designated as a 501(c)(3) organization
· There must be at least one resident who is a volunteer or sponsor for the organization, willing to act as the primary organizational contact. All communications must include the contact information for the resident contact.
· It must be an organization that directly benefits the residents of community, Greenville or Henderson County or the immediately adjacent area.
The Board may change or amend these requirements or approval of any organization at their discretion.
All other groups and clubs must use the Message Board to post messages of interest, and solicitations for events, subject to its Terms of Use (indicated below).

Forum Rules
The Message Board prohibits any activity or post that is negative, harassing, threatening,
bullying, or intimidating to other residents in the community, the board of directors or its committees, management of either the CVCA or the club, and any vendors, contractors, or visitors. Any posts deemed as a violation of this policy by the CVCA board will be removed.
Prohibited uses of this website including, but not be limited to:
- Copying / duplicating any content or images found on this website
- Unauthorized distribution or sharing of passwords and/or access
- Use or distribution of any personal information of owners contained in the member directory
- Attempting to impersonate any person associated with Valley Connections
- Any activity which adversely affects the ability of others to use this website as it is intended
- Using the email system to send unsolicited email
- Utilizing user contact information for any use other than non-commercial related business.
- Sending emails that are rude, libelous, sexual or vulgar in nature
How to Post:
The Message Board offers subscription categories which are included within each users’ personal profile. When a message is posted in a selected category, an email notification is sent to its subscribers.
· Messages should be posted into a single, topic appropriate, category only.
· Care should be taken to include your contact information on all postings to minimize unnecessary e-mail traffic to unintended users.
What you CAN Post:
- Group, Club and specific interest area messages
- General Community interest messages.
- Sale Items - May be posted twice.
- Business Related - If you have an on-going business or rental property, you may post the information twice a year.
- Merchandising Parties - If you are having "Tupperware-type" party, you may post the information twice
- Charity Fundraising - Organizers of charitable events are allowed to post messages
- No emails may be sent more than 90 days in advance of the activity or event
- No more than a total of 3 emails can be sent for any one activity or event.
Vendor recommendations may be posted on the Message Board. The author affirms the accuracy of any content posted with respect to vendors. Content may include positive or negative vendor experiences. Negative responses must be within the forum rules previously stated.
What You CANNOT Post:
- Political comments
- Religious proselytizing
- Personal Information - If someone is ill or has died, do not post information unless it has been cleared with the family.
- Forwarded items - things that have been forwarded to you - virus alerts, scam warnings, etc. If you don't know the person who originated the info, don't send it.
- Solicitations - Repeated solicitations of commercial or charitable causes (subject to conditions below).
These terms and conditions, together with any documents expressly referred to in them, contain the entire Agreement between us relating to the subject matter covered and supersede any previous Agreements, arrangements, undertakings, or proposals, written or oral: between us in relation to such matters. No oral explanation or oral information given by any party shall alter the interpretation of these terms and conditions. In agreeing to these terms and conditions, you have not relied on any representation other than those expressly stated in these terms and conditions, and you agree that you shall have no remedy in respect of any misrepresentation which has not been made expressly in this Agreement.
